Sports and Recreation
Highbanks Campground is the perfect destination for both the avid sportsman and the weekend leisure guest. With direct access to Allegany Reservoir, famous for its record-setting walleye and muskellunge takes, High Banks is a favorite of boaters and sports fishermen. Recreational boaters will enjoy a casual tour of the Reservoir and famous Kinzua Dam, or the exhilaration of water skiing, jet skiing or windsurfing.
Boat Launch: Free to overnight guests, $5 launch fee for day use.
Docking Facilities: Free to overnight guest, day use fees TBD. Boat Rentals: Available at nearby Onoville Marina, just minutes from High Banks Campground, including Canoes, Row Boats, motor boats and Pontoon Boats.
Fishing Licenses: Seneca Nation Fishing Licenses are available at the Highbanks One Stop shop. Licenses are required to fish in the Seneca Nation of Indians territory and cost $35.00 for an adult and $10.00 for Seniors, $20.00 for children age 10-16, and $5 dollars for Disabled. Hunting: Hunting by non-Indians is not allowed on Seneca Nation territory, however, Highbanks’ close proximity to Allegany State Park, the Allegheny Forest, and other state lands make it a perfect host to small and big game hunters.
Swimming: Inground pool free to overnight guests. Full time lifeguards on duty. On-site Recreation: High Banks features a variety of on-site recreational and playground equipment, including Volleyball, Bocce, Horseshoe pits, and Swing Sets. Additional recreational facilities are currently under development.
